Please allow me to harmonize on the weary lament of being a Photoshop newbie. AUGH!!! I know exactly how you feel, just when I was starting to feel fairly proficient, or at least enough so for this assignment, I encountered a major snag on my self portrait which I was never able to fully resolve. I spent far too many hours just attempting to come up with a solution...the entire time thinking "I REALLY need to get started on my writing!"
On a more positive note, I LOVE your collage, especially the way you've layered the 'sketch' yourself and baby on the sketchbook. Am also very intrigued by the way you wrote on the 45, makes me want experiment with that technique.
Nice composition and style for your collage. I also am having some trouble navigating through the PhotoShop software and this is not my first experience with it. It is a good tool, there are just so many different ways to use it that it takes some time to get used to it. That's what I'm telling myself anyway! Great Job!
I really like how you incorporated so many images from your life that were able to tell a story without neccessarily involving you directly. What a successful piece! The time was well spent.

ReplyDeleteI think the collage turned out beautifully - I'm sorry about the growing pains!
